Beef and Broccoli

  • 1 lb Skirt or Hangar Steak
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 TBSP teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • sesame seeds

Slice steak into thin pieces and cook in oil until browned and remove from pan.

Add oil, garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant.

Add sesame oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey and beef broth.

Once combined, add broccoli.

Stir the cornstarch and water until combined and add to the sauce. Bring sauce to a boil and cover for a few mins to cook broccoli.

Add beef to the mixture once sauce reaches desired consistency.
